Round 1 - The Hobbit Round
Flick "The Switch" Mueller vs Dave "Roarin" Lyons

Picture

Flick has electrified fight fans throughout his long and illustrious career, with his crushing power & dazzling array of whirlwind combinations. The Switch is a man of many words. If his trademark right-left upper-cut combination doesn't stupefy his opponent, his well honed motor-mouth surely will. Born & bred in the Wainuiomata swamplands, this exceptional product of the School of Life was reared on a strict diet of hard knocks. Legendary Manager Piri Weepu has overseen The Switch's glittering career. Piri plucked The Switch from Wainui's turbulent streets, guiding the impetuous youth to victory in the Wainui Golden Gloves in 1983. Street-wise and resolute, this hard-nosed champion of the sweet science now brings disquiet to the super middleweight division. His last fight took place at the Wainui Tavern, ending in a controversial "not guilty" decision.

Dave is fighting out of 'the hood', aka Birkenhead. Fighting in the Hobbit weight class & looking forward to proving he is the true Lord Of The Ring.... boxing ring that is.  My fighting experience is vast & includes getting my lunch money stolen up until the age of 16. The lack of sustenance obviously stunted my growth during my adolescence, however, this gives me a smaller vessel to store my copious amounts of anger.

Round 2 - The Pretty Boy Round
Matt "The Bone-Collector" Wilsher vs Sean "The Hitman" Harrison

Picture

Matt (aka Sonny Bill) is fighting out of the occasionally mildly unpleasant street of Shelly Beach Road, West Herne Bay, The Bone Collector comes from a proud fighting heritage with his great uncle Benny patrolling the streets of the Central Auckland Suburb long before Matt took over.  Matt learnt his trade via the "school of hard knocks", AKA St Kentigern's College where one time he was even wedgied.

Sean has retired from an illustrious career in La Invercargill Costra Nostra, Sean "The Hitman" Harrison is looking for ways to still inflict pain upon people while keeping a low profile.  Growing up on the south side of the Invervegas train tracks, The Hitman now sees his time in the ring as a means of relaxation and time to reflect. As a professional he makes sure he never gets to know his target but has unfortunately had the unpleasant experience of meeting the Bone Collecter and can confidently say he won't miss his mark on this one.

Round 3 - The Giants Round
Jim "Dot.Com" Reardon vs Stefan "The Whole Punch" Azzopardi

Picture

Jim is fighting out of Albany, the Smaller Kiwi cousin of the more infamous Kim, has proven an ultimate Cybor Fighter on a number of Playstation Fight contests, now brings that fighting prowess to the real ring.  Boxing seemed like a natural next step.  Last known real fight was over territory in a Kindergarten sandpit, but I did win !  What I lack in skill and speed I hope to make up for with a hard head and a face that was designed for being hit.  I have an angry look, bright training gear and have great ambitions of not being carried out. Fight for Chopper will provide an opportunity for Bankers across the group to pay to watch revenge extracted for Treasury charges.  No doubt a victory for my opponent will be treated as a victory for bankers across the business.

Stefan is fresh from the Glendowie ghettos comes a fighter with a chequered history and a bad reputation.  Wanted in seven countries, "The  Whole Punch" has effortlessly evaded the long arm of the law just as he will effortlessly evade the short arms of Jim "Dot.Com" Reardon.  Ducking and weaving, hitting and running - it's all second nature to "The Whole Punch" so catch him if you can but watch out for the speed and reflexes that deliver "The Whole Punch" just when you least expect it.

Round 4 - The Grudge Match Round
Greg "Mad Dog" Mardon vs Dave "The Fury" Fendall

Picture

Greg says the fact is I'm violent by nature, don't hate ya. Like most people about as much as they like me. Haven't found a way to say **** you politely. These days I stick to myself, but sometimes get sick of myself. Got my own circle, love my people, bleed for my people. Need no replacement, Mad Dog's life unfolds with bold statements. Hails from Wellington, lives in Mt Albert, likes a nice chianti, hates the neighbour's cats and is a tireless campaigner for the underdog.

Dave is fighting out of St Heliers, Auckland, The Fury comes out of a 30 year retirement (although has dabbled from time to time - preferring bare knuckle - Pikie style ) to take on Mad Dog - mainly cause no-one else had the necessary "kahunas" (eg Jerry "Meow" Scarlett).  Growing up on the back-streets of the Mid-Canterbury town of AshVegas, The Fury honed his craft amongst some of the toughest players in the game however never quite made it to the professional boxing ranks and therefore comes into this bout with the limited, yet perfect record of 0-0-0.  When he is not smashing the punching bag or unleashing "the fury" on unexpecting sparring partners, Dave heads the NZ Corporate Derivative Sales team for Financial Markets.
